EPCs & DECs
Bladen Consulting have been providing their clients with EPC & DEC certificates since this was introduced in 2008. Domestic EPCs EPCs on homes for sale or let are mandatory in order to advertise the property. EPCs are also produced in order to be able to install some renewable energy solutions. Commercial EPCs In a similar way to domestic EPCs, an EPC is required by the owner on any commercial premises over 50m2 in order to sell or lease it out. In addition the EPC must be Band E or better from June 2018. Display Energy Certificates A Display Energy Certificate and its associated Advisory (Recommendations) Report must be produced for all public buildings over 250m2. The DEC certificate is an annual requirement for buildings over 1000m2.
ESOS Reports
ESOS is a mandatory series of reports that are required to be produced by over 10,000 of the countries largest businesses every 4 years. The first rounds of reports were due in 2015 and 2019 and we are still helping some clients to complete theirs late to avoid punative fines. Phase 3 starts now for reporting in December 2023.
